Non government charity organisation helping amputees in Aceh after the tsunami

Sponsor an Education Fund

Children of amputees and children who are amputees themselves need extra support.

We have 50 students currently requiring school uniforms, books and writing materials etc. Some have already been individually sponsored and the others have been helped for the first three months of 2006 from a general Education Fund.

It is simple to help by setting up a Standing Order with the Aceh Disability Centre Appeal Fund or directly into the Indonesian Bank account. You can either select a student to sponsor or donate into the Education Fund. If you would like further information please contact info@p3c-aceh.org.

We will do our best to provide updates on the student's progress. To view the list of children please click here.

For example, we have a 14 year old boy who was seriously injured in the tsunami and received medical care in a Medan hospital. After he was released he had a traffic accident resulting in a leg amputation. He lost his mother and two siblings in the tsunami and is now displaced to his Grandmother's house in Aceh Besar where he lives with his father, who is all that remains of his family.

An example of the kind of money needed:

  • £2 - 3 per month would help a child at primary level
  • £4 - 5 per month would help a child at secondary level
  • £6 - 7 per month would help a college student

Please contact us now to find out more about making life better for these children.
